When Hisashige Tanaka lived in the Kyoto-Osaka district, he made various kinds of clocks.

Taiko Dokei (Japanese Drum Clock) is one of them.
A dragon holds a sword in the middle of the clock face that is the clock's hand, and it shows the time while the clock-face turns.
Every hour, the drum is beaten, and two chickens on top of the clock move and tell time by the clock's interior mechanism.
A mechanical drum clock which uses this drum clock as a motif is installed in front of JR Kurume Station in Fukuoka.
When the clock hits the hour, Hisashige's masterpieces, such as Yumi-hiki Doji and Man-nen Dokei, appear from the inside of the drum clock, to entertaining visitors.
