About Toshiba Science Museum

Q. How much is the admission fee?
A. Toshiba Science Museum is free of charge to enter, but online reservations are required in advance for all visitors.

Q. When is the museum open?
A. From Tuesday to Saturday.

Q. How can we visit the museum in wheelchairs?

Q. How do you prevent spread of COVID-19?
A. To let visitors enjoy the museum safely, we take preventative measures against COVID-19.
  • We request that each visitor wears a mask in the museum.
    (Children 2 years old and under do not have to wear a mask.)
  • Before coming inside the museum, we check your temperature, sanitize your hands with the sanitizer provided at the entrance.
If you have a fever of over 37.5℃ or cold symptoms (cough, sore throat, etc.) or if you feel unwell, please refrain from visiting the museum.

About Group Tours

Q. Are reservations required?
A. Online reservations are required in advance.
Please refer to the Reservation Form for details.
Q. How long does it take to see everything in the museum?
A. Between 60 and 90 minutes, but the time can be adjusted upon request. The Science Show (30 min) is also available upon request. Please consult our staff.
Q. Can we walk around the museum freely without a guide?
A. Yes.
Q. Do you have a place where we can eat lunch?
A. For COVID-19 prevention, we will not provide a place for lunch for the time being. Thank you for your understanding.
Q. Do you have parking for large-sized buses?
A. We do not provide any parking spots. Please find public parking in the vicinity.
Q. When do you start accepting reservations?
A. From April 2021, we will accept reservations up to 3 months in advance.
(e.g. Desired date of visit: Oct 15th -> Reservation can be accepted from July 15th.)
Q. How can we make a reservation?
A. Applications are accepted via the WEB or by FAX. For details, please refer to Tour Reservation Application section.

About General Visits

Q. Are reservations required?
A. From April 2021, online reservations are required in advance for all individual visitors.
Please refer to the Reservation Form for details.
Q. Do you have guided tours?
A. Unfortunately we are not able to offer tours for individuals. However, attendants in each area will answer questions and give demonstrations upon request whenever possible.
Q. Is there a suggested route for visitors?
A. Please feel free to see the museum from any section that interests you.
Q. Are children allowed to visit the museum?
A. Visitors under age 13 are only allowed to visit the museum with an adult age 18 or above.
We believe this policy will ensure children's safety and reduce risks during unexpected disasters or accidents.

About Museum Use

Q. Do you have parking?
A. No, we do not have parking. Please use public transportation.
Q. Can we take photos?
A. Please feel free to take photos inside the museum for your personal use. However, please do not take pictures of other guests. Also, please do not take pictures of exhibits marked with "no photo" signs.
Q. Do you have strollers and wheelchairs for rent?
A. For COVID-19 prevention, we suspended the rental service. Thank you for your understanding.
Q.Can we smoke in the museum?
A. Smoking is not permitted in the museum.
Q. Do you have vending machines?
A. Yes, we have a drink vending machine in the museum.
Q. Do you have a place where we can eat inside the museum?
A. No, we do not have any.
Q. Do you have a place for changing diapers?
A. The ladies restroom and multipurpose restroom are equipped with diaper change tables.
Q. Do you have a room for breastfeeding?
A. For COVID-19 prevention, we reluctantly stopped providing a room for breastfeeding. Thank you for your understanding.
Q. Is free Wi-Fi available here?
A. Yes. "Toshiba Science Museum Wi-Fi" is available.
