About Toshiba Science Museum

Q. How much is the admission fee?
A. Admission is free for individuals and group visitors. We look forward to your visit.

About Group Tours

Q. Is a reservation required?
A. A reservation is required for those who would like a guided tour. An advanced reservation is also required for groups of 20 or more.
Q. How long does it take to see everything in the museum?
A. Between 60 and 90 minutes, but the time can be adjusted upon request. The Science Show (30 min) is also available upon request. Please consult our staff.
Q. Can we walk around the museum freely without a guide?
A. Yes.
Q. Do you have a place where we can eat lunch?
A. A meeting room is available. (Free, Reservation required)
* Please note that the room is not available on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and when the museum is holding events.
Q. Can we order lunch at the museum?
A. No. Please bring your own lunch when using the meeting room.
Q. Do you have parking for large-sized buses?
A. No, not at the museum. But, parking is available at a special area 10 minutes by bus from the museum (Reservation required, Up to 6 parking spaces)
Q. When do you start accepting reservations?
A. From October 2015, We accept reservations 6 months in advance.
Q. How can we make a reservation?
A. Applications are accepted via the WEB or by FAX. For details, please refer to Tour Reservation Application section.
Q. Can the museum be observed by the organizer of a tour in advance?
A. Please visit and browse freely through the museum.
Yes. If you require a guide to show you around, please let us know in advance.

About General Visits

Q. Are reservations required?
A. Reservations in advance are not required for 20 or less persons. Please visit the museum freely. If you would like a guided tour in English or Chinese, please inform us in advance.
Q. Do you have guided tours?
A. Attendants will give you a guided tour if you make a reservation.
* Please note that tours are only available on weekdays.
Q. Is there a suggested route for visitors??
A. Please feel free to see the museum from any section that interests you.
Q. Can individuals make reservations to see the Science Show?
A. We do not accept reservations. The show is held several times a day at the Science Stage, so please gather at designated times to see the show.

About Museum Use

Q. Do you have parking?
A. No, we do not have parking. Please use pubic transportation.
Q. Can we take photos?
A. Please feel free to take photos inside the museum. However, we ask that you refrain from taking photos of the "Archive search terminal" at the First of Their Kind section.
Q. Do you have strollers and wheelchairs for rent?
A. Yes, we do. Please inquire at the reception for rental.
* Please note that the number of rental units is limited.
Q.Can we smoke in the museum?
A. Smoking is not permitted in the museum. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Q. Do you have vending machines?
A. No, we do not have any.
Q. Can we bring a lunch and eat somewhere inside the museum?
A. There is no eating space in the museum. We ask individual visitors to use restaurant facilities in the vicinity.
Q. Do you have a place where we can eat inside the museum?
A. No, we do not have any.
Q. Do you have a place for changing diapers?
A. The ladies restroom and multipurpose restroom are equipped with diaper change tables.
Q. Do you have a room for breastfeeding?
A. The museum does not have a dedicated room, but mothers can use the First Aid Room. If you require the use of the room, please inquire at the information desk.
Q. Do you have a place to rest when we do not feel well?
A. Visitors can use the First Aid Room. If you require the use of the room, please inquire at the information desk.
