Science Zone

Mysterious, fun, and useful...
You can experience those fascinations of science through experiments and demonstrations.

Science Zone

Visitors can learn while having fun through hands-on experience, such as an experiment on superconductivity that can be utilized in weather radars, and an experiment on static electricity, a very familiar electricity in our lives. We are also newly offering visitors to experience the science of light by using various lights, and a hands-on exhibit to learn about the principles of accelerators.

Main Exhibitions

Static Electricity Generator
Static Electricity Generator

Let's feel 500,000 volts of electricity!

You can experience the wonders of static electricity by touching the metallic ball which emits 500,000 volts of electricity.

Accelerator Experiment
Accelerator Experiment

Let's experience the principles of advanced medical technology!

The accelerator is a device which accelerates magnetized particles to super high speeds by changing an electric current timely. This is used for some of the latest medical treatments, such as heavy ion therapy and proton therapy.

Superconductivity Demonstration
Superconductivity Demonstration

Let's learn about the mechanics of a linear motor car!

Superconductivity technology is used for linear motor car and medical MRI. In this area, we show the mechanism of superconductivity with liquid nitrogen at -196℃.
